The result of an expert life cycle assessment is the Backland 88 ski design with lower environmental impact, reducing overall production waste and CO2 emissions by 30%. Combined with new, lower waste sidewalls, this design significantly reduces environmental impact while optimizing the ski's versatility on every type of terrain. The premium All-Terrain Profile uses locally sourced poplar wood and less fiberglass and resin to create a ski shape that offers greater stability even on harder surfaces. HRZN 3D technology—the next generation of the original HRZN technology—features a uniquely beveled tip that enhances float in powder and seamlessly integrates into the Dura Cap sidewall for an incredibly responsive tip-sidewall-edge connection. The Backland 88 is a versatile ski touring ski built for skiers who not only love to ride downhill, but also love to climb mountain peaks. They offer a slightly larger width under the binding for better functionality in any terrain.
