ZLÍN – Winter sports lovers are eagerly awaiting the first snow. But before it hits, you need to properly prepare for the new season. Because those who are prepared are not caught off guard. Fans of skiing, cross-country skiing and ski alpinism can enjoy a whole range of benefits in the AVEX SKI ski resort in Zlín.
AVEX SKI customers are certainly used to the fact that every season they introduce a whole range of new products. And this year will be no different. The prepared benefits will delight parents of children, schoolchildren, fans of carving skiing, cross-country skiers, ski alpinists and those who like to wander through snowy landscapes on snowshoes. In addition, if you rent skis during October, you will be rewarded in the form of a 10 percent discount. The same advantage applies to the ski service.
The main changes that AVEX SKI has prepared for its customers this year concern the ski rental and service. In both cases, new expanded categories are established. "We had to increase the prices of the service and the rental fee due to the increase in energy prices. Thanks to the fact that we have expanded the individual categories, we have managed to keep the price increase at a very low level. Our main goal was to maintain the quality of services," noted Robert Šperka.
Expanding categories
The fundamental change is that a Junior section has been added to the Kids category. The children's category is limited by the length of the skis, which must not exceed 110 cm. The junior category includes skis up to 140 cm in length. The customer pays CZK 350 for the children's service, CZK 400 for the junior service, and CZK 50 more for the basic adult service. A major service including slide repair will cost CZK 600, and a sports service will cost CZK 850.
As for the rental fee, a children's set costs 1,990 crowns for the whole season, a junior set costs 2,490 crowns, and a carving set for adults costs 3,350 crowns. If someone is interested in using the test skis only for the weekend, they will pay 1350 crowns for them. However, AVEX SKI customers get something extra for their money, namely 1 free service for a free all-season rental.
Ski lifts for children too
Another novelty this year is the introduction of snowshoe rental. For the weekend rental of snowshoes and poles, the applicant will pay 750 crowns, if he rents snowshoes for the whole season, it will cost him 2450 crowns. However, it is not a problem to rent snowshoes or skis for any number of days.
Fans of ski mountaineering will also notice the novelty. While last year only adults could rent a ski-alpine set, this year children will also have a chance to do so. "We have a children's ski alpine set of 120 to 150 cm available. Weekend rental costs 1100 crowns. For the maximum rental period, i.e. 17 days, a children's set will cost 2,600 crowns. "Adults pay 1,600 crowns for a weekend rental of a ski alpine set, and 3,500 crowns for a 17-day rental," explained Adéla Běťáková.
Schoolchildren with a discount
AVEX SKI has prepared an interesting discount for schoolchildren who often borrow ski or cross-country ski sets for school ski training. Throughout the season, a 10 percent discount is available for participants in school ski training. All that is needed is for teachers who go out for training with students to pick up special coupons at AVEX SKI, which will be available until the end of October. "Regarding school ski courses, we also have extra prices set. Therefore, it is not necessary to return the borrowed equipment immediately after the children's arrival home, but on Monday after returning from the ski trip, for a discounted rate," Běťáková reminded.
Service news
The service will also be slightly expanded this year. "For skialp owners, for example, we have introduced impregnation and cleaning of climbing belts or waxing with special skialp waxes. Cross-country skiers can have their skins impregnated and cleaned with us for a change," explained Šperka about some of the news.
Those who like to wax their skis may have noticed that due to environmental regulations, the production of fluoro waxes has ended. "We are selling the last pieces, but at the same time we are already offering a suitable alternative. The good news is that the new waxes are ecological, but at the same time have better properties than basic waxes," said Šperka. For connoisseurs, AVEX SKI also offers nano-skis, the main advantage of which is that they can be used on skis regardless of the current outdoor temperatures.
Loan without risk
A big novelty this season is also the offer of rental equipment insurance. If you are one of those people who won't even enjoy a soup on the slopes because of the fear that someone outside will steal their borrowed ski equipment, you will definitely appreciate this benefit. For just 10 percent of the rental price of a ski set, you can have complete peace of mind. The insurance covers both theft and fatal damage. In case of theft, a police report must be provided.
