The ATOMIC Backland UL helmet is designed for ski mountaineering and ski touring, which require maximum protection and comfort while being super lightweight. The hybrid EPP In-Mold construction is durable, lightweight and extremely safe. Under the shell, Holo Core and AMID (ATOMIC Multi-Directional Impact Deflector) technologies are used, which minimize weight while providing up to 40% more impact protection than required by relevant safety standards. The helmet is also certified for skiing, mountaineering and cycling according to various standards and is complemented by a lightweight Skimo lining, which is ideal for winter mountain hiking or summer cycling. 43% of the parts are made from recycled material. And like all helmets in the Backland series, it includes small but important details such as a headlamp holder, removable strap and reflective elements.
