The Völkl Racetiger SL is the perfect ski for sharp short and medium turns on hard groomed slopes. Great handling and lightning fast when overtaking. The sharp racing version of this model is reaping laurels on World Cup tracks. The basis is a sandwich construction with a multi-layer wood core Multilayer Woodcore, where the core itself is made of two types of wood - harder beech in the edge area, softer poplar in the middle of the ski. The core is further reinforced with Full Titanal titanal sheet. The core is further complemented by 3D.GLASS fiberglass reinforcement, which makes the ski more playful. The Racetiger SL model has a slightly raised Tip Rocker for easier control when entering a turn and damping unwanted tip vibrations using Tailored Carbon Tip carbon reinforcements. The speed of the slide, and thus of the skis, is ensured by the use of a high-molecular racing base P-Tex 4504, together with the Full Sidewall sidewall treatment. The skis are supplied with a board and an innovative MARKER rMotion3 GW binding, which has a wider base (and therefore a contact surface with the ski for optimal transfer of forces from the skier to the ski) and lower weight compared to its predecessor. The bindings are placed on the skis in a floating position (the fixed point is under the heel), which results in greater acceleration when exiting a turn.
